The History About
The Mita's Restaurant
The name "Mita" translates quite literally as "the restaurant" and has been a reliable friend to all Indian food loving people of the county of Berkshire since it was established in 1995. With an emphasis on refined yet creative Indian cuisine, the menu incorporates a wide range of authentic and innovative dishes. Acclaimed favourites include widely popular Chicken Tikka Massala, Lamb Rogan Josh and one of the Mita's very own inventions - the Hundee dishes.
Located in a small town outside Reading called Twyford, the Restaurant is just 20 minute drive from the Reading town centre and within a few minutes of walking distance from the Twyford Rail station. The Mita's offers Home Delivery to Charvil, Hare Hatch, Hurst, Knowl Hill, Sonning, Twyford, Waltham St Lawrence, Wargrave, Winnersh and Woodley.
The main restaurant in Twyford seats 36 people and is also available for private entertaining by appointment. The Mita's takeaway service also caters for special orders and parties, for more information about any of these please get in touch.

Midweek Meal out with friends
Before lockdown and with the restrictions we used to meet very regularly . Haven’t been for 3 months but did last nights. A very warm welcome as usual , great personal service ,didn’t have to wait very long for 3 different meals off the very varied and unique to mitas menu . Great you can take you own drink too .

Just had my second lot of food from Mitas. We collected a takeaway just over a month ago and thought it was very good, staff were friendly and food was hot and ready to collect at the time given to us. Ordered for delivery tonight again delicious food, delivery driver very courteous and delivery time was quick too. Will use again and again in future!

Delicious food, great service
A group of 9 arrived without having booked and the staff ver kindly accommodated us even though they were quite busy. Quite a few of us are vegan and they had quite a few options for us. I had mushroom dupiaza and it was delicious. I tasted some of my partner's veg madras and my friend's veg hundee and both of them were yummy too.
As there were so many of us we were quite noisy, but the staff were patient and attentive. We had a great time and will definitely go again.
